QLD: Bones found in burnt out car

Bones thought to be human have been found in the remains of a burnt-out car on a remote
property in north Australia.

Police say the skeletal remains were found yesterday by a grazier 6 km north of the
Lakeland Downs Station on Cape York Peninsula.

A spokesman says the bones will be removed over the next few days and examined scientifically.

Yesterday, bones found in a shallow grave on a farm at Marburg, west of Brisbane, were
found by forensic tests to be those of a horse.
