Vic: Victoria to build nursing home for elderly homeless

MELBOURNE, Jan 11 AAP - Victoria will build what is believed to be the world's first
nursing home for homeless people, the state government announced today.

Housing and aged care minister Bronwyn Pike said the Victorian government would contribute
up to $3.4 million to build the 45-bed nursing home for homeless men and women.

Ms Pike said the $5-million home, to be located in Melbourne's west, would provide
residents with high levels of care.
